The Law Office of William Willard, PLLC assists people in solving problems whether that problem is with a neighbor or with a multi-national corporation. I work with clients to resolve issues in their business and personal lives in litigation and outside of court. A large part of what I do is representing people, organizations and businesses in lawsuits, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) (mediation and arbitration) and through negotiations directly with the other side.
Whenever possible I work with my clients to help prevent problems by analyzing a situation to identify issues and recommend a different course of action.
My practice covers a wide variety of civil matters with an emphasis on construction matters, environmental issues, insurance coverage, real estate, contracts and business disputes. I have successfully litigated and recovered from multinational companies and their insurance companies for my clients.
I have extensive experience with environmental issues and years of experience handling cases involving hazardous waste clean-up, Brownfield re-development, Superfund / CERCLA lawsuits and clean up under Washington's superfund law (MTCA). These sites have ranged from gas stations and dry cleaners to large landfills and major re-development projects.
My practice also includes successfully prosecuting claims against developers of condominiums and subdivisions for homeowners. I have also successfully recovered on first party claims against property insurers for property owners. I began my legal career working with insurance defense attorneys and from that work I understand how insurers evaluate and defend cases.
I work to resolve problems with creative and practical goal-oriented solutions.
